God Is Doing Great Things In Rural Iowa
This last Sunday, two of Alathea’s pastors attended a special service at Legacy Baptist Church in Oakland, Iowa.
Legacy was planted by Alathea to reach a section of rural Iowa that has a great lack of gospel-preaching churches. Rural America is fast becoming one of the most desperate mission fields in the world. It is imperative that the church provide a gospel witness for those needy regions. The church in Oakland was planted as a strategic effort to meet the needs of rural, southwest Iowa.
God has blessed that effort so much. He’s given the church plant a beautiful building, a great core group, amazing opportunities…and now a pastor!
Pastor Doug and Pastor Josh joined another area pastor in laying hands on brother Aaron Francis, formally installing him as the pastor of Legacy Baptist Church.
We are so excited for LBC and the Francis family! They’re a great fit for one another and we’re excited to see God continue to bless this ministry.
Keep praying for a harvest of souls in the farm-country of Iowa!
